I'm still trying to find out where I said ONLY the failing garage could do the MOT, or where he would not be INSURED.
If you drive with no MOT you are a breaking the law plain and simple, as you are with no INSURANCE.
I have broken the law in the past, and suffered as a result, some you win some you lose, just a gamble, you don't always win.
Having recently had cause to prosecute the MIB/government, I have a fair understanding of the law, not the best but decent, which I won for myself and two others, over an uninsured driver.
But then I do READ what is written.

there DRIVING offences mate,, not breaking a criminal law though,, totaly different things
driving with no mot is a fine,, crash or not you get fined,,, if you have insurance they HAVE to pay out ( though that wasnt based at you when i said that )
i dont doubt the stuff you say to a point,,, but i DO say theres parts that i question,,, maybe you add a extra layer to make it sound better to put your point across i dont know
i get told i talk shite all the time by idiots who dont know anything about ,me just cause they aint seen stuff in there lives,,,, maybe im suffering from that as others are
but ive known ENOUGH uninsured drivers/drivers with out a licence on a ban ect PERSONALLY to know what happens in there cases
ive seen some STRANGE things in law too when its happened like my missus being done,, should not of happened but it did,, my mate went to court for driving with no insurance,,, he had NO licence but did insure it but he did as a FULL licence,,,, he got that part of the case dropped as he has SOME FORM OF THIRD PARTY LIBILITY !!!,,,, i couldnt belive it but it DID happen INFRONT OF ME !!!!
