well with no mot your insurance is invalid mate

so not worth going through insurance

the only time your allowed to drive with no mot is either the car going to teh mot station for mot, will need proof that the car was booked in at certain time/date etc

and i think if it was going to a garage to have teh mot repiars done
but not sure on teh 2nd one

either way you be better off paying to have the car repaired
