I would check the body numbers all tie up with the v5 and look original, then take a good look for rust under the kit on arches and sills and also the inner wings round the strut tops and at the back corners, also remove the rubber from around the boot and check the flange, as for the engine ask to hear it start from cold check for any oil burning and piston slap, but if you don't know much about them best take someone who does as they can cost a lot to put right if you don't get a good one to start with, but good look in finding one.
