have a mate with a e36 shape m3 evo with the SMG box.And to be honest the gearbox is shit.I could chnage gear quicker and smoother.So unless the new shape has a better box i would call that an advantage.
The SMG Box on the E46 is totally different. Has 6 settings on how fast it changes gear !
And launch control which is amazing for a standard car !
Again, Just shows how good the M3 is if you need a 100bhp more to beat it !
