Hi,

I have a 99' 306 hdi, the car run fine for a couple of days until it 'stalled' whilst i was driving a couple of times, but it started back up and didnt do it again for another couple of weeks.

I will be driving along and the car will start to feel hesitant, the dash lights will then illuminate (as it is stalling and then restarting itself) but when it did it yesterday it wouldnt start up properley again, sometimes it runs for a minute, others it just turns over.

i even had it running perfectly for a few hours but it did the same again, so its nothing to do with the temperature of the engine

I have had it plugged into a snap on diagnostics machine and it came up with:

P1404 - additional heating circuit 2 and pre-heat

the book that comes with the machine says: causes :-

Wiring, Glow plug control module, Engine coolant heater relay, ECM (hope not!)

the in-tank pump has a healthy whine all of the time though.

I'm in the middle of taking cylinder 2's injector out to replace the seals as it makes the ticking/leaking noise, how do i get it out???
