ok this is just a shot int he dark but i had router trouble similar its not the router as such what security settings have you used as if you used a newer kind like wpa your laptop with not be completely compatible i recommend putting in you install disk go through every when it comes to security enable it but use wep 32 as this is much more compatible with laptops
