Default Thanks

Harsh comments maybe, but fair comments - thanks.

To explain a bit more... I assumed that the (unmarked) chip in the receipts books was still in the car (a previous owner bought it at the same time as the greys and there are rolling road graphs etc. from that set up). So yes, I took out the yellows and fitted the greys... and it ran for the first time of course.

I was also very reliant on the advice of a local motorsport tuner who has a cryton set up so could check no damage was being done at low revs. Also had a light in the bores and checked them periodically etc. Boost was also wound right back - just in case the revs went too high accidentally.

Being a couple of hours away from any expert help is a real pain - so thanks for responding, as I said originally I had reached the conclusion that the chip was not the one I thought I had fitted in the car (but was a standard one after all) - so that's my next plan. I just wondered if I was missing something else that might be obvious to the crew here who have may more experience than I.

Cheers all and thanks again,

Andy
