I have fitted the ST170 hubs to my 2 ltr Focus to enable me to run the ST Discs and Calipers, I had new bearings fitted as a matter of course, and to that end had the ABS sensors removed aswell, once fitted to the car, I refitted the sensors and ran the car down the road, for the first maybe 100 yds it was fine, then the ABS light, the traction control light and the brake warning light came on. Friggin nightmare... after swapping back to the original cables from the car, I thought that would cure it but nope, still have the lights, countless calls to a mate who works at a ford garage who asked the lads in the workshop, (recomendations included checking that if wires are chaffed, reseting the ECU by disconecting the battery) still aint solved the problem so as a last ditch attempt I rang a mate who has a diagnostic machine, we took it round the block only to be told that neither of the sensors have an output. In the meantime my mate has made calls and it now appears that as I have upgraded to ST hubs the drive shafts may be wrong and the sensors are not picking up the signal.
I know this is a popular conversion, and i've never heard of anyone having probs with the ABS sensor, am I just really unlucky and all four cables are mullered, or is it the drive shafts? or is it sommat else?
Any ideas
