well to be honest i wasn't planning on using the standard rods anywhoo, so thats no probs for me. got a spare engine lying about, as you do , so can slowly work through the zetec build getting everything right.

already been told that for all intents and purposes the 4x4 system is pants, hence gaving a spare set up. it is the same system used in the rs2000 4x4 is it not. may have to pop into that room and have words there gradually make my way through the whole forum. as for the rear diff, could a cossie item be used as i'd imagine they wouuld stand a much better chance of taking the abuse than a mondy.

any ideas how much shot peening or cryo freezing the transmission components would be. 4 figure sum?
