i have known the rods to see 300hp without any problems...its down to the mapping IMO and if its done right there shouldnt be any problems...any more than 300hp i would think is walking over troubled water...just to be on the safe side, i would have the rods (if you have to stick to standard rods) shot peened or cryogenically frozen to increase their strength
standard pistons would be ok with small boost - about 7-8psi i would think...but it would be safer with a decomp plate from ferriday
the mondy inlet should be ok to flow 300hp maybe a touch less...although i do not know of anyone who has maxed one out...but like i said...i would HIGHLY recommend the RS1800 inlet as i know they WILL do 300+ comfortably
i dont know anyone who runs the FRS system on their zetec turbo mainly due to mapping issues...Omex 600 should run the standard sensors no problem...if you are going this route...i would HIGHLY recommend Chris Todd from TOTD to map the vehicle!
with regards to cams...the power level you are after the standard 130ps cams are ideal believe it or not...some people even tone down the exhaust cam to the 115ps version...
the 4x4 transfer box IIRC in the mondeo is the weakest link in the drivetrain so would get that looking into....
my ZT needed a twin paddle clutch as a minimum with a MTX75 diff'd up with shot peened gears....possibly even cryo freezing it
