a very valid point, the purpose of real water injection is to lower the combustion temps. we use it (experimentally at the minute) to reduce NOx emissions in our diesel engines.
it can work as a charge cooler, but it needs to be suifficiently well mapped, and its so much easier to stick on a better cooler (on a cossie anyway)
