Go into control panel, then add/remove programs, click on windows components on the left hand side, scroll down to the bottom and untick windows messenger, apply ok etc etc. Then, remove all entries of it from your start menu. Shut down the pc and restart it, once on desktop, open my computer, go into the c: drive, then program files and delete the messenger folder.
