remember you dont want water in your engine you want it to vaporise and become oxygen
if you can turn water into oxygen that easy, you have just sorted the worlds power needs! as the other by product would be hydrogen!
the way we do it at the moment is by electrolyse,,, but you look like your sorted it,,, just squirt water into intercooler pipes
