Can anyone tell me exactly why low comp is recommended for big power/boost aplications?

am I right in assuming it loses power as well as being a bit wank off boost?

If so why not just run higher compression and less boost to achieve the same power? as this would make it more powerful and driver friendly off boost wouldnt it?


Anyone shed any light on it?
