720p . The internal scaler in the ps3 must have cost 0.0002p as it is rubbish, it can't scale 720p to 1080i properly, it ends up making the picture worse than the 720p original and seeing as very few games will be rendering to the full native 1080p just leave it at 720p and be done with it.
