Hello,
you're saying:
"if i put my foot down would go lovely until 4 grand in 4th gear then it would jus splkutter n kangaroo after it done it once it would do it the whole time i went to put my foot over half way down it would build up a bit then soon as it started to move it would kangaroo n splutter "
and this
"forgot to say if i turned it off and started again it wouldnt do it its only every now and again and doesnt always do it but like i said when it starts it wil do it the whole time until the car is switched off cheers"
this sounds like the ecu is cutting out the engine, becouse of to much boost. I also had this problem with one of my fiesta turbo's (broken boost hose).
I could be because of:
- actuator not working because of a disconnected/broken boost hose
- actuator not working because of wear
- actuator set to high (higher boost, above 0.65 bar), but no chip installed
Just connect a boost gauge and see how much pressure it gives.
To messure this, put it in 4th gear at 1500rpm and floor the gas pedal. You should see the boost comming up, and (when standard) it should stay at 0.5bar.
If you would like to keep running higher boost, install a chip and get it set up on a rolling road.
When you turn the engine off and start it again, the ecu doesn't remember the boost overload and you car drives ok again (until it has an other boost overload)
Hope this helps
Belgian Greetz,
