Default Fitting/wiring Group A Coil on 4x4 Sapphire

If i remember rightly when i fitted a Grp A Coil to my 3dr the old coil only had + & - wires & king lead so just put some spade terminals on the wires & job done, my 4x4 Sapphire that i've only had for a few weeks has some extra wires 2 green wires come out of the loom & go into some sort of resistor ( as in photo ), then also the bolt that holds the old coil to the body has another bit earthed to it with 2 black wires going to a similar looking black rubber thing ! You should be able to see in the photo's.

Can some one tell me what these are for & do i need to keep them with the new Grp A coil.

The 2 extra green wires that come out of the coil loom & go into a resistor look like they may have been added at some point as the loom has been cut into & tapped up to add the wires, well thats what it looks like. Just trying to tidy things up in the engine bay as the wiring is untidy !

Its coming along slowly, got some Ahmed springs to fit next week.

Cheers Simon.
