You can hold load on an engine dyno and keep it there for longer periods of time for a more precise map so why would you have to then tweak it on the road? In my thinking it should already be set up to perfection.

In my understanding it is because of certain things that are not present on the dyno as im sure you do not use your own exhaust and intercooler, (for example) But in the car you will and these may be restrictive in some way.
Correct me if i am wrong though
