what kinda money?

reason i'm interested is i have seen a stunning a6, everything is perfect, full audi service history, everything and it drives sooooooo much better than anything i've ever driven before. i was quite suprised actually as i've driven a 1.8t golf and weren't that impressed.

Anyways, it's got 96k on the clock, which is backed up by the history only it has a knock which sounds like big end to me, it got worse the longer i test drove it put it that way!

done a search on autotrader and theres probably atleast 5 iirc which have had new/rebuilt engines recently which is making me think are these engines really best avoided.

i can get a short motor for a grand plus vat but then by the time you buy all the other bits on top i may aswell buy a straight one with a good engine, or a v6.
