it could also be that the brake fluid is getting too hot
do you have a sheild around it?

when i had the same problem with my tt it always used to be because i was giving it plenty of welly, not really when you want the rbakes to fail but opening the bonnet and letting it cool down for 15 minutes turned the light off again

ended up having 5 layers of heat sheilding around the pump before it stopped doing it
