Default Advice needed on ERST engine, serious

OK kids, as some of you are well aware, I am pulling the engine out of Less's old car which Rudey now has and putting it into my XR3i.

But, before I do it, I have a few queries.

Rudey tells me it has been kicked over and warmed up regulary to stop it seizing. Now, will this suffice if it aint been used properly for about a year?? When I got the 3i it had been dry stored for 2 years and after a week the fucking rings let go on me I dont want the same thing happening to the turbo.

Is there anything i sould do to help longtivity?? Do I treat it as a newly built engine until its been run for 500-1000 miles?? IE 6psi and try not to use the boost........... or will it be fine to just plumb it in, have it set up and use and abuse??

I really cant afford for it to go bang straight away so stu is gonna set it up for me but any other advice is VERY, VERY welcome.

Cheers chaps in advance
