I have the exact same problem and been putting off getting a new pump as they are a pain in the arse to change.

Is it worthwhile putting in new big end bearings whilst the sump's off?

Just re-read the post and seen that you must have the small turbo model as you quote £39 for a high pressure pump - £210 for me so not sure if your pump is located in the same place.
