Yes it is possible just been through this hassle with my fiesta zvh needing a new sensor and the gap has to be precise or it will cause the car not to start atall.

I tried a 1mm washer then 2mm then 3mm and ended up finding a 1.5mm washer and car sprung into life.Ide assume it would be the same for a cossie tbh as a cps is a cps
