If in the above quote you're talking about a red at the original fuel pump relay (part of the management loom), then if this hasn't got 12V to it, then that's your problem. Check both management loom fuses located near to the relays with your probe. If neither have permanent 12V, then you've lost the feed from your battery. If so, then check the "fuseable links" at your battery - unwrap the tape on the wires that connect directly to the positive battery terminal for 8 inches or so and you'll find the joints which often corrode.
