Normally these engines don't let go, they start to wear out rapidly and you get more and more oil blow by.
My Sapphire engine ideally needed toping and tailing at 20k (as it was just starting to use oil), but it would have gone on for another 10k until it reached the stage of not needing to drain the oil for any changes

If it did, it was FOC and done without my knowledge, as I never paid a penny towards one

It was rebuilt when it was put in the new shell if that is what you mean?
