I was in the same situation when I was looking at buying one. Of the 2 options I'd rather have a car that has had paint to get it back to as new a condition as possible than one with scratches & stone chips.

All this keep it original is for people who don't drive the dam things so never get stone chips. I bought the car to drive not just to look at.

As long as its a good job I would see no reason to be put off.
