ok phil lets follow this through then...

what do you get for your 350quid (well, actually more like 500 but hey) mapping session

and what do you get for your OFF THE SHELF collins chip and setup?

also, you engine is a complete one off and nobody has ever put those components together in an engine before what off the shelf chip are you actually buying for it...

unless its a custom chip by some clever bods at colins that theyve estimated the fueling/spark requirements based on their many years of experience at this sort of thing which would then ofcourse need checking afterwards and then if it needs adjustments (which ofcourse it probably will) you'd need to get done again, and again and again

which works out the same price

by my maths, if the ECU and 8inj addon are less than 500quid you will save money but you will only save that money over the s8

so say s8 is 500quid

and ecu + addon is 200quid

then youve saved 300quid, result

you are NOT however saving money in the MAPPING... if you think you are then you ARE cutting corners... this is the fundemental thing you're missing... you're compromising yourself for the sake of a few quid... infact youre compromising yourself even more as i'm 99% sure youre not gonna get it done properly and youre just gonna buy a chip off the shelf like the last one which was NOT designed for your spec at all
