I'm impartial, but I'm with Stuart on this one. At best a maxxed out Stg 3 T3 with a .48 exh housing will give, what... 260 - 270bhp??? How ever far you push it it will be working very hard. Everything else in your spec seems right (apart from maybe the head) so why skimp on the bit that will give you the power.

I would suggest a GT28. A basic GARRETT GT28 can be bought from the UK for under £1000, after that you'll be paying for extras like ported shrouds etc. I don't care what anybody says, these turbos are 20+ years old now and there is far better stuff out there, you just have to pay for it.

Oh, and nothing should "blow up within a year" if all the parts are right and the car is mapped correctly. Unless you are just unlucky and you have a major part failure as I did.
