Default Twin 40's on My Zetec Help

I have a 130ps zetec and I am just wondering about the current setup

My current fuel pump (as standard) fuel injection pump feeding that is likely to be throwing fuel at the injector rail at a pressure of 20 – 30 psi (it needs to be that high to allow it to be ‘injected’ instead of ‘dribbled’)

Ripping the fuel injection off and replacing it with the carbs/Webbers/twin 40’s means you i have an injection fuel delivery system feeding a non injection carb system … and that’s a slight problem in my mind.

Carbs only need a fuel pressure of around 3.5 psi as the fuel is basically dropped into the front part of the carb and then sucked into the engine by the choke & venture mechanisms within the carb body.

Thoughts been ?

I believe the standard fuel pump will fire to much what can I do to control the amount of fuel in psi coming into it then ? If you dispense of the regulator the carbs will be flooded in a matter of milliseconds which will both flood the engine and also p1ss fuel out of the carbs and dump it onto your lovely hot engine …

Any help and suggestions, sorry for the poorly described content
