E34 M5 is better but if he wants a coupe fair play.

The 3.0 one is better than the Evo.The Evos have probs with the vanos (variable timing and this is the main drawback because it costs around 2k to put right.The 3.0 also has a nicer g/box.

They are good allround cars and sound good.It needs full dealer/specialist history though.
