OK thanks guys i haven't bought the car yet as a little worried when i checked the oil it didn't even register on the dipstick the guy said he hadn't checked it for about 1500 miles or more, the engine sounded very sweet even though it must be very low on oil & also has an engine rebuild bill from Graham Goode for £10990 (its high spec,touring car head RS500 8inj etc)but its done 33k since, being low on oil has put me off a bit.

If i get it i will try the old cereal packet trick !
