Missus needs a car after i gave her last one away

i wasnt really too fussed, but now the M3's in the garage i need something to drive myself

so, she's after a small car (could probably go up to an escort size) preferably 5door, and she has her hear set on an automatic (she has a manual licence, but her brain isn't evolved enough to cope with more than 2 pedals)

last car was an old phase1 Clio 1.4 RT (which i hated with a passion)

so guys, what do we think? suggestions?

i want an E36 BMW, but she ain't having none of it

can you get any auto-dervs that ain't huge? mondeo perhaps? i quite fancy a turbo diesel
