It's a pitty, and hope it doesn't put to many off. Unfortunatley, people do get grudges with each other over the net, then will at somepoint meet at a meet, tempers flare especially with a few pints down them.

Hopefully the decent core of people at the meets will stand together to ensure it is made clear it is not tolorated.

Maybe if the two parties are regular enthusiasts, they may offer to pay for the damged wing 50/50 as a way of making up for a moment of madness

Unlikely but am sure it would go a long way to helping make it something to put to rest.
