Thats not an engine mount, its an engine steady surely?

If it was a mount it would bear significant load, not just help stop the engine tipping backwards and fowards?

The wood in the mount is under compression ONLY, it worked absolutely spot on, it might look pikey, but there was genuinely nothing wrong with it as a "with what we had to hand" type of repair.

I do find it quite ironic that most of those people who were critical of it ended up with their car going home on a trailer, while JC and his bit of wood drove home
