I know people like to take their ow cars to the ring, but tbh, for a long complex track in a foreign country, I suspect the answer is a relatively std engine in a predictable chassis, built properly and thoroughly shaken down. Zetec fez, clio 182, xe corsa/nove, bmw 325, anything with mild go and thensome really decent brakes.
