Was your Piper cam measured afterwards to see if it was worn?
And did you/ava change anything at the same time?
I believe the rev issues on Kent and Pipers are due to too soft springs, causing valve bounce, (mine wouldn't rev past 6300 on the 36 cam, but would rev to 7000rpm on a different spec engine with a 35 cam kit)
And fitting double springs on hydrolic setup causes even worse wear.
