My ex lived on a farm in Kent, and had pikeys move in on one of their fields. Police couldn't do anything, and the stress of the whole situation caused her grandfather to go to end up in hospital in a pretty bad way.
Loads of stuff went missing, the local ended up with a bunch of dodgy notes, and once when we drove home to her house, we found a couple of them checking out the farmhouse trying to find a way in!
Nothing but contempt for those people.
