There is no way I would want ignition that retarded, it is fine for a road car, but the heat it generates when "on it" is horrendous .

Personal preferences, but I would always rather run low comp / lots of ignition and boost than high comp / loads of ignition pulled out and high boost. The latter (on a Cosworth) leads to thermal problems that would mean the car could never be held flat out without the engine shitting itself.

Perhaps to prove my point, you should max your car out Gareth .
