if you have an old sky remote, some of them won't do all tvs.

we've had this recently, we sell sky remotes, and we must have had some old stock from distribution. there's a batch no or something inside the battery flap

call sky, they'll tell you what batch no to get (but your retailer will have to open the box, as you can't tell from the outside!)
