Switch could be knackered,and some tight t*at has bodged it rather than buy a new switch,needs replacing really,if you had an accident the fuel pump would keep running and possibly spraying fuel all over car and its occupants,not good
I would put the wire bodge piece back in untill you have got it running,cause you could have just connected up a dodgy cut off switch
Really need to get a 12 volt testing screwdriver,check if you have a live feed to that switch,and go from there
Ref the location of fuel pump,it prob is in the top of the tank,but not sure.
If its like a vauxhall there will be a panel under the rear seat that you unscrew which then gives you access to pump and tank float,but never worked/looked at a granada so not even sure where tank is
