i'm of the onion that if you" been there, done that" you will have much more hands on experience to pass on than soemone who's read about it in a book
take your head gasket change for example, how much time did youspend on it and when you posted your experiences, loads of peole told you how to do it much easier
if you had that info first hand BEFORE you started spannering the mondeo you might have found things much eaiser yes?
i thinkthis is what peole are forgetting, a fair amount of people ehre actually do spannering for a living and, as such, will know whats going on when it comes to the oily bits
i've forgotten more about sierra/granada interchangablity of parts than most people (barring fitz) know ebcause i haven't dabled with them for a year or so, but that doesn't stop me offering advice to someone who wants to change a set of hubs because i've done it myself
certain things you can't get your head around until you have the bits in your hands and someone else pointing and telling you what to do, andthen it all goes "click" and you know what they are talking about
if you haven't done somethng yourself and are going by what the haynes manual is saying, you'll be removing bits here there and everywhere and all you wanted to do was change a side light bulb
