In my opinion
Phil has a fantastic knowledge of certain bosch parts, and has a far better knowledge of the YB than most people on this site, but he has a tendancy to try and get too involved in the things he doesnt understand.
If he stuck to just the things he knows about, he would be a really valuable contributor to the site.
For an example of him doing it badly, try searching for posts on high compression versus low compression and you will see him going on and on about the terrible response of low comp engines, completely ignoring good advice from MikeR or Stavros etc, and then in the end it turned out the reason why his low comp engine was so bad was cause it had a global chunk taken off the ignition timing via one of the "ground for retard" wires on the ECU which was connected when it shouldnt have been
