I do not quite follow that. The magistrate will just check the video footage presented when a "not-guilty" plea is entered, et voila, mistake rectified.
Unfortunately, a magistrate isn't stupid They realise that these things happen.
Word of advice for anyone contesting something like this, avoid a "Newton" hearing (check spelling/pronounciation) as from what I can gather from my solicitor, the copper can basically say what he wants and you can't do jack about it. My hearing went to that, and I was lucky to have a sensible magistrate.
