just squirting some oil down the bores is supposed to be enough but i tend to smear a liberal coating of cam lube onto the lifters just to make sure. as for doing anything, you can just put them in as is. so long as you torque the rocker arms down properly then they should be fine. mine are lovely and quiet and thats all i did. one thing to note is that when you first fire her up the top end will sound fucking shocking till the lifters fill with oil so don't worry if it's really noisy at first. only start worrying if the noise doesn't go away.
