turn on the ignition and earth out the small blue wire going to the alt..if light comes on then no probs with loom etc...no light chech bulb and blue wire continuity..
p.s. the correct wat to check an alternator isnt the voltage way..
you need to measure current which unless you have a posh clamp on meter means disconnecting the earth and puting a multimeter in series to measure the amps either charging or discharging..need a good meter though that measures dc current
