You should use the white 58mm quadrant, standard is 55mm.
that could be why my first quadrant exploded after 6 months
My engineering dad cut mine different to how AP suggest this time - where they cut to isn't the strongest way of doing it
It's a worthwhile mod by the way - as the replacing a worn clutch ratchet can be a bit of a nasty job
The size of the quadrant will reflect the amount of lift you get on the clutch, a bigger circumference will obviously pull a greater length of cable when the pedal is pushed a certain distance. Which bit broke? Where it mounts to the shaft?
I've yet to fit mine but cutting the quadrant is the easy way of getting the pedal height right, im fairly confident i can achieve it without cutting the quadrant, a shorter bolt should have the same end result, without compromising strength
