after having a look at rolls sensors lastnight i thought i'd check mine...
well the ECU wiring is a mess down under the glovebox for starters but nevermind i thought i'd check the maf sensor wiring...
checked the 2 feeds from the ECU to the maf, both good @ 12v... sorted
checked the voltage at the multiplug end... nothing... nada... zip
car runs NO different with maf unplugged and no different with MAF not even piped in...
thats DEFINATELY throwing the ECU into LOS
didn't even bother checking anymore after that
so my choices... i can try n work out where the break in the wire is and repair it. (fookin hard!)
i can replace the loom completely (£££!)
or i can run my own cabling straight from the maf to the ECU and cut out the dead section of the existing loom (easier, but not best option)
