I thought they were the Monoblock BMW Megatron engines
Unless the early ones were based on the 4cyl block which is the base for the E30 M3s, 2002 Turbos, etc etc, i know them engines were turbod to 700+ and destroked to 1.5litre in some race series (vs the Zakspeed Turbo Capris etc) but didnt think they were ever used in F1
