I dont think type of dog has any relevance to how they behave IMO, its how they brought up.
We have a (we think) Staffie/Labrador cross, basically it looks like a Staffie, but is WAY bigger, Labrador size.
Its mega strong and im sure can easy do some serious damage or kill someone if it wanted to, and it looks/sounds scary (loudest bark ive ever heard, honestly), but in reality is the daftst softest sillyest dog you can imagine.
How ours was brought up tho is a bloody mystery!
Got it from the Animal Shelter which seemed a bad plan to me, esp as it was found abandoned tied to a lamppost, but tho it was abandoned, it soooo confusing why...
Its incredibly well trained, knows every command under the sun (inc bizzare ones like "rodeo" which makes her jump and spin around like a bucking bronco

), doesnt bark (took about 2 weeks till we heard her bark), doesnt get on the furniture (well she does now, we had to teach her that we didnt mind!), doesnt chew up stuff, doesnt pee or poo anywhere, is dead clever, always wants to play fetch n stuff but soon as you say "no bedtime" or "no more ball" or anything (she seems to understand perfect english, its bizzare

) and she just stops.
She a bit nervous of a lot of certain things which makes it seem like she was mis-treated by old owner, but its so bizzare how she couldve been mis-treated and then abandoned, but be SO well trained and behaved
Strange.
But anyhow, its not the breed of dog, its how they been brought up, same as humans.
Same as humans tho, some are just natually clever/stupid/soppy/psycho
