My escort alternator cable split into 2 brown wires and attached behind the small fuse box on the pos terminal. I replaced the cable before and had an 80 amp fuse in (because there were fuse link wires, I presumed they were there for a reason) Had a 60amp, but that blew one day when I had everything on - heated screen, heater, back screen etc. Been fine with the 80 amp.
